Talia and Pop!
As part of Talia's bat mitzvah she has to do a project that reflects Jewish values and
she has chosen to do it on compassion to animals. Talia wants to show how we can
take care of animals and prevent cruelty.
Part of her project was to visit the Jiggley Piggley Farm and help out, while picking my
brain on what is involved in running a rescue operation.
Here she is giving little Pop a cuddle!

Daniel visits from his high school resource department every week.

CousCous's Big Adventure!
CousCous goes out for the first time. She almost got lost in the grass!
This is just an observation I have made after years of photographing guinea pigs. Useless information really, but
it keeps proving itself true! Butterscotch guinea pigs are very photogenic. It's hard to get a bad shot of one, but why!?!
I'll tell you why...butterscotch guinea pigs seem to share two genetic traits that make them perfect models.
The first one is obvious, they're a beautiful color that just looks great in a photo.
The second is the key, and a little less obvious. Perhaps it's my imagination, but I don't think so!
Butterscotch guinea pigs have perfect EARS! Each and every one has the cutest ears, with just the
right amount of fold in them, and they lay just so on the head.
I kid you not, have a look the next time you run into a butterscotch cutie... It's genetic!
That darn cat Max is back! He has diabolical plans for Hoppy!
or M.O.D. for short, an african frog boarder at the Jiggley Piggley Farm....he's oozes personality!

Marmy the Marmotte !!
Marmotte moved in under the front step last week and is sharing our lawn the the Jiggley Piggley Guinea pigs.
She's a little shy, but she fits right in! .
DAMN CAT!!
It was great! Must of been like being free out there and it was also very pleasing to the eye.
In 5 years, my animals were never bothered by neighborhood cats, and there were 3 next door,and several others
nearby.
Here, there are just two cats, and both of them are determined hunters looking for a prize guinea pig trophy.
I guess it's because they're still young, but it's very annoying.

Fizz is about to POP. Perhaps the babies will hold some clues as to who fathered them.
Which ever father it may have been, the babies are sure to be just TOO cute!
Gin is one of the friendliest guinea pigs we have ever had here.

Seems poor little Gin and Fizz weren't the only two guinea pigs behind that apartment building!
Zapper showed up a few days later.
No on wants to be an April Fools joke! Poor little Gin and Fizz were let loose, behind an apartment building,
on April 1st.
Sadly, Patches, the only guinea pig we call our own passed away Sunday night.
We aren't sure what happened to him but it was sudden and unexpected.
Patches was a cagemate to our current bunny, Hoppy, and to Doppy, who we lost last summer.
They were the cutest trio.
Lately, Hoppy and Patches have been spending the weekdays with me, at Pierrefonds Comprehensive High School.
They lived in the Resource Department and were visited by many young people daily.
Patches regular visitors were saddened by the news of his passing.
Hoppy is now on his own and we can't have that! I'll introduce him to our only single male today, Buttons.
Hopefully they will like each other!
Jiggley Piggley Farm News!
Heckle and Jeckle are nursing along a bit of a skin condition. It doesn't dampen thier spirits though!
They will be available for adoption, hopefully sometime in the near future. In the mean time, I would
consider temporary foster care if anyone was interested.

We're Moved in!!
That's the good news. The bad news is that our garage will not be equiped for animals for about 3 weeks yet.
We will not be accepting any animals until then. It will be undergoing a complete renovation, from garage to ultra small animal facility!

No Boarding This Spring Break!
Due to the fact that our move will occur during spring break week, we will not be
